Project Director
William is the Co-Founder and CEO of Impact Hub Accra. His work is primarily focused on building infrastructure to support entrepreneurs and advising global institutional partners working at the intersection of tech, social impact and the creative economy.
He has spent the last decade leading the vision of Impact Hub Accra. In that role, he has led IHAccra to raise capital from and execute programs for leading global organizations like Facebook, Fondation Botnar, British Council, GiZ, Siemens Stiftung, EU Commission, USAID, IDP Foundation, FMO among others. Will also leads IHA's execution of Ako Adjei Park, a 20,000sqm cluster of 15 live-work-play buildings in a 2sqkm area, designed as the innovation district of the city of Accra to support tech founders, social entrepreneurs and creatives. He also spent 3 years investing in tech-enabled companies through his roles as Venture Partner with Ingressive Capital, a $50M fund.
As a cultural curator, he also hosts global events/festivals such as re:publica Accra and continues to invest in African creatives through FWD, an African creatives fund co-founded with award winning-rapper, M.anifest
Under his leadership, Impact Hub Accra has grown to become Accra’s premier startup hotspot, fostering a diverse community of over 250 members and managing 1700+ square meters of progressively green workspaces.
Working alongside a grassroots movement committed to “DIY Urbanism,” William and his team are focused on activating living and workspaces across Osu Ako Adjei. These transformed spaces bring together local and global ecosystem players to engage with Ghana’s vibrant young entrepreneurs.
William has successfully led teams to raise capital from a range of investors and donors, including: The Rockefeller Foundation, The Tony Elumelu Foundation, The Danish Government, The US Government’s Broadcasting Board of Governors
As a co-convener of Social Enterprise Ghana, William is dedicated to building a robust social enterprise ecosystem in the country. He also serves on the taskforce responsible for drafting Ghana’s first Social Enterprise Policy.
